Movie Night

Its Thursday. Movie night. We had a date for last Thursday but since it took me 2 1/2 hours to get home- and the entire state of MA was burried in blizzard like snow conditions, we called it off. Fortuntely Sheri and Ellen are free today and we're going to see Enchanted (a girlie, young-at-heart movie that the boys just wouldn't enjoy) and I couldn't be happier. And as a bonus, Krissy should be coming along too.

Its snowing again today. Much harder than predicted, at least from what I can see. But its beautiful and I don't mind driving in it, so no complaints here.

Christmas shopping is done! I've got a few ornaments I'd like to make, and I should have time to relax and enjoy the creative process of working on those this weekend... and if I don't, that's ok too.

And as a treat to myself for making so many presents by hand (aka being so frugal) I splurged and bought these two beauties <--- They were less than $20 total at the gift shop (went shopping when the fire alarms went off at work again today and we had to evacuate). I love them. I love rustic/old school looking Christmas decorations and think I'll be going with more of that kind of theme in the new house. I also love the idea of having various trees all on display. Need to get the button tree idea rolling (can't find straight pins at the stores). Something like this one here.

I also want to make something like this tree on the right- but with more of the earthy colors. I really can't control myself, clearly. Its not even Christmas this year yet, and I'm already thinking ahead to decorations for next year!!!

The Magic of Christmas

Admittedly not wonderful photographs, but I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of Dan and Will by the tree last night at Krissy and Matt's house. Will was thoroughly entertained touching the branches and picking up the non-breakable ornaments that Uncle Dan was handing him. Special moments.
Handsome boys.
Family.
Love.
Holidays.

This is what its really all about.

the christmas photo shoot

Kris and I took pictures of Will on Tuesday afternoon before she had to leave for work. He really is such a ham, all smiles, giggles and talking up a storm. If this doesn't get you into the Christmas spirit nothing will :)

busy

amber's wedding last weekend.
up at 4am on monday to be here at work for 5ish- for a downtime of CBeds that accomplished only half the goal.
orienting Ryan (the new cbeds project manager) this week, which is certainly keeping me busy (but she's a scrapbooker, so we're getting along famously)
monday was laundry
tuesday babysitting for will
wednesday i went to the crop shop to make kits for my class
tonight i'll go home to work on some christmas gifts
tomorrow night is out for waveney's birthday
saturday night is the crop shop christmas party
sunday is the crop shop team crop-- hoping to get some christmas presents made!

busy times. good times. we got the first snow of the year saturday into sunday of this weekend.
dan turned 35 (love you babe).
amber's wedding rocked my socks off- and my shoes, and my purse and my camera (luckily dan was able to find it all the next morning)
christmas is right around the corner. so excited and yet starting to feel nervous that it will be here before i'm ready.
work is busy- good busy. getting lots done. feeling productive and useful and all of those happy things.
very excited to be handmaking a lot of christmas gifts this year. i don't have a ton of extra money to spend on gifts- and i am enjoying the process so much more knowing that i making things especially for the recipient. its more rewarding this way :)

ok this is all very random.
i'm ok with that.
more later!
