{which he bought on ebay} last month as well. I haven't uploaded World Without End to the computer yet. Its 36 CDs, so a little daunting... but well worth it. If you've ever read Ken Follett you know what an amazing author he is, and if you haven't read/listened to him, I'd highly recommend any of his books. I'm glad Dan finally got on the bandwagon since for a few years now its just been Matt and I talked like geeks about his books ;)
As you can see, I'm totally interested in books about food and nutrition. Not so much the diet type stuff or that "what to eat" type books... but moreso the "why do Americans eat the way we do" type genre. Michael Pollan's books are absolutely astounding. I took notes throughout In Defense of Food and I am hoping to post those here for anyone interested very soon. I am only about 140 pages into Pollan's first book but I am completely absorbed in that as well (again, notes to follow). I'm learning more and more that as much as America is undoubtedly one of the best places in the world to live, US policy is not in favor of protecting us and our food despite recent attempts to push to get us healthy... its extremely backwards... again, more to follow. I need to pull my thoughts together to make it coherent.
