A&W- Sick Edition

Tuesday March 16th

Willy was sick as a dog. His nose was literally running like a faucet, and well, so was Aila's, though she was fairing better overall it seemed. It was a beautiful sunny day, one of the first of the Spring Season and I was looking forward to chasing these little monsters around the backyard and getting out some pent up energy.

But when I arrived to Pleasant Street this is what I saw:

He asked to watch the movie Where the Wild Things Are on DVD. "You've got it little man. Whatever you want." Well, that was easier said than done... they use their Playstation as a DVD player and as it turns out, Auntie Jen doesn't know how to work a Playstation. Thankfully Uncle Dan does and he was home to answer my phone call. Phew! Disappointing sick kids is not my MO. I got the movie turned on and shut the blinds because the light was killing him... I tried to watch it for a few, but geez for a kids movie it seemed very dark {literally and figuratively} and I gave up. Plus, if Aila wasn't feeling so lousy, I'd take advantage of some play with my God Daughter.

Look at those eyes. She just looks sick. Poor babe.
Did I mention fountains of snot?!
But we played. Fake food, balls, legos, anything she could put in her mouth really!
She laughed and rolled around.

And this little move is one of the things she does when she gets excited- she pats her head. Priceless.
So it was a low-key Tuesday. Much needed :)
