30 of my Favorite Websites
In no particular order.... websites and why I like them!
- Ali Edwards blog- scrapbooking, simplifying life, photography. My absolute favorite scrapbooker and recorder of all things ordinary (that are really extraordinary).
- Kal Barteski blog- painting, other crafty ventures, cute kids, photography
- Elise Blaha blog- paper crafts, design, wedding and party planning,
- Amanda Blake Soule blog- knitting, simple crafts, simple life strategies
- Emily Falconbridge blog- oodles of different crafts and green living
- Tara Whitney blog- photographer
- Amazon- shopping! And now that I joined Amazon Prime! with a few friends, I get free 2 Day Shipping which makes it great for gifts and things I procrastinate about and then find myself in a pinch over.
- Etsy- the eBay of handmade items. Gorgeous things can be found there. To browse or to buy, its definitely a favorite.
- Scrappin' Cricut- coupon blog. Has a downloadable image for each chain craft store's weekly coupon so I can print on demand and bring to the store to get my discount!
- Facebook- I resisted for a very, very long time. Now I enjoy the glimpses into my friends lives and the ease of sharing my own story and my photos.
- Old Colony Library Network- Library Homepage. Allows me to request books, CDs, audiobooks and DVDs with the click of my mouse. Then they email me to say when things have arrived. I stop at the library and my stuff is waiting for me at the desk. It makes my life simple and brings me so much pleasure- for free!
- Google Reader- this too I resisted for awhile, now its my favorite way to keep track of the blogs I enjoy following. In one place I can see where things were updated and pass over those that weren't.
- Elizabeth Kartchener blog- she's an upbeat, silly, funny, well-dressed scrapping mom. love her.
- Cathy Zielske blog- extremely down-to-earth, open and honest, no-nonsense scrapbooker. Love her simple style.
- Google- like the rest of this society, when in doubt- Google it! Works every time.
- IMDB- Internet Movie Database. I swear Dan and I use this website 2-3 times a week. While watching TV or a movie we'll swear we know an actor/actress but can not for the life of us remember why or how... and IMDB can usually solve the mystery.
- YouTube- yes its great for funny videos (like this and this) but youtube has also been my go to place for knitting help! Who needs a class for something basic when you can just as easily see someone doing it right before your eyes, in your own home for FREE?!
- Heaven's Harvest Farm- I check this site each Monday to find out what I'm getting in my weekly farm share pick up!
- RealSimple- magazine
- Pottery Barn- I love browsing the sale and clearance sections to see what kind of good deals I can get. I rarely buy anything but its good eye candy.
- Yahoo's Nascar Fantasy League- gotta set my line up each week.
- GMail- I read it mostly on my phone but I log in from time to time too :)
- Donna Downey blog- amazing scrapbooker, athlete and creative inspiration!
- The 3 Day.Org- The place where I check in on my Fundraising progress, get training tips and see what else is planned for the Breast Cancer 3 Day (donate today if you haven't yet- thanks!!) :)
- Blogger- for obvious reasons.
- Lion Brand Yarn- they have great free knitting patterns and instructions. Plus they make my favorite organic yarn!
- REI's outlet- I like to browse for new walking gear. They have gear that's of great quality for amazing prices.
- Howard Stern- when there's something especially fascinating on the show its nice to be able to put a visual with it.
- Woot- I peek in here randomly to see what the deal of the day is. I've never actually bought anything but I am still intrigued.
- Elsie Flanagan- a scrapbooker, photographer and artist. She has a totally different style than me but I love her spunk and her ability to think way outside the box.
